About Me
From Nurse to Burnout Recovery Coach

My Story:
I began my nursing career in 2014 as a respiratory ward nurse at my local hospital. Like many newly qualified nurses, my initial focus was on building confidence, developing my clinical skills, and becoming the best nurse I could be.
Eager to expand my expertise, I moved to a private unit specialising in long-term ventilation and completed further training at one of the London’s NHS Trusts. This experience allowed me to deepen my knowledge and gain valuable insight into the profession, but it also helped me realise that my true passion lies in acute care.
Seeking greater challenges, I later joined an Intensive Care Unit near London. The experience shaped me both professionally and personally, giving me invaluable skills and resilience.
However, it was also during this time that I began to recognise the emotional toll nursing can take when support, psychological safety, and leadership with integrity are lacking.
After a number of traumatic shifts, I reached a point where my body and mind were telling me something was wrong. I realised I could no longer ignore the impact the environment was having on my wellbeing. That moment forced me to reassess my path and recognise the importance of balance, support, and personal wellbeing.

I returned to my local hospital as a bank nurse, giving myself the space to reflect before stepping into another role that might not be the right fit. During this time, I discovered an opportunity in Interventional Radiology and became a Band 6 nurse within a specialised team. Here I was able to strengthen both my clinical expertise and leadership skills, and for the first time in a while I felt aligned with my work again.
Yet I knew I wanted to continue progressing—not only for myself, but also to help create opportunities for nurses whose contributions are often underrepresented within healthcare teams. Encouraged by colleagues, I pursued the opportunity to begin an Advanced Clinical Practice pathway.
However, after two years of striving for progression, I encountered barriers including blocked development, unequal support, and poor leadership within a team I once considered safe. At the same time, I was navigating personal challenges, including receiving a diagnosis of ADHD. These experiences deeply affected my wellbeing and ultimately led me to reflect on what truly mattered in my career.
Through that reflection, I recognised something that had always been present throughout my journey: a natural ability and passion for coaching, mentoring, and empowering others.

After recognising the signs of burnout within myself, I retrained as a Burnout Coach and Trainer. My mission now is to support nurses and healthcare professionals in recognising the early signs of burnout, rebuilding resilience, and developing strategies to protect their wellbeing.
Today, I combine my clinical experience, personal journey, and coaching expertise to help healthcare professionals thrive both professionally and personally. I offer Nervous System Audits to help you understand how your body communicates stress and dysregulation, alongside one-to-one coaching through my 12-week Burnout Reset program designed specifically for nurses and healthcare professionals.
